Forget the shopping, forget the scenery, I’m here for the food! First, though, there has to be just a liiittle bit of shopping. My second day in Hong Kong started with a quick trip to Stanley Market. I love this place because it is so cheeesy! Almost bought that Obama notebook. Afterwards, I headed over to Causway bay, which is, well, more shopping :p. One of my favorite stores is Muji, a japanese chain. Just look at that pen collection! Finally, lunch time! The hardest part was deciding where to eat. So many options, so small stomach! I finally settled on Rice Paper, a vietnamese place. I got a set luch, which is like a combo with appetizers and curry noodles. Both were yummy and the restaurant comes with a view of the harbor. My third day in Hong Kong was truly all about the food. Janice’s parents took us to Sai Kung, which used to be an old fishing village in the New Territories. It is still famous for its seafood. I had been here a couple of times before, but everytime I visit Hong Kong, this is a must stop. Just look at all the fresh seafood! You pick it out of the containers while they’re still alive, and the restaurant cooks whatever you pick out! I love it.That’s our lobster! And who can resist come macarons? I know I can’t :pFor our nighttime entertainment, there were fireworks! It was October 1st, China National Day. We watched from Janice’s office 50 something floors up in the office tower IFC2, which was perfect cuz it was not crowded :) I love fireworks and these did not disappoint, it was pretty much 20 minutes of finale. And of course what would a day be without late night dessert. Lovely :) Stay tuned for more…..
